MY Belvedere II was running fine then quit. The spark was a dim orange in stead of the blue/white spark. What could cause this? Thanks Ray

Would you give us more detail? Like ignition system, car model, ect..
Mike

Off the top of my head.....coil, ground, really fouled up plugs....other stuff too maybe. More detail needed for sure.

Clean the spark plug, or put a new one and see if that improves the spark. (double check on other cylinders as well)
Sounds like a weak spark, could be caused by a heavy fouled spark plug as Purplebeeper mentions.
Other causes are poor plug wires (should not go all together though), faulty coil, poor ground to name a few.
Let us know some more details indeed what engine, coil, distributor, etc.

383. updated ignition no points fairly new wires & cap & rotor. Brand new plugs. 13 volts at the battery less at the ballast resistor. Dim spark on two plugs. Weak orange spark. It doesn't even try to start. Thanks Ray
