Hey guys. Happy new year!
I have another one for the pros. I want to screw in my dimmer switch in my 69 Charger but I’m not 100% sure where. I think it should be just above where the floor pan meets the fire wall. But how about in relation to the emergency brake cable tube? I think someone had patched the floor and never replaced the switch. Any pointers?

Hi Fine,
I'm no pro but just got underway with the interior of my 69. Front seats, console and front half of carpets are out. Next day or so I'll be back at the shop. I'll take some pics, maybe a tape measure with some reference points might be helpful to you?
(Unless of course someone can help you more quickly.)

Look closely at the sheet metal, there might be a indentation where it should go, if this is replacement sheet metal sometimes they have dimples where the bolts are to be put. Lastly, if none of the above works, then look across from the brake/clutch pedal and the dimmer switch is typically slightly above where the rubber pedals would be horizontally and approximately 3 or so inches from the kick panel on a flat piece of the floor.

Thanks fellas. I accidentally posted this in another thread but did get some good responses and photos too. I really appreciate the help

I am pretty sure the screw holes go thru the floor. Lay underneath the car and locate the screw holes and poke an awl or something else to poke a hole thru the sound deadening.
