dipstick tube look ok?

I would leave it alone if it's not leaking.
A lot of the "chrome" ones even the MP brand won't seat fully because of the plating. Does it mount to the motor mount also?
Either way, as mentioned before, if not leaking--- next time you change the oil, fill with the correct amount of oil for whatever pan is on it. Make a mental note where it lands on the stick, and forget about it.

Another thing I noticed about the crome plated ones was the plating flakes off of the dip stick. Dragging the stick through a rag, to check the oil level, I was finding particles on the rag. Thought I was having bigger problems until I figured out where the flakes were coming from. Took a 2" scotch pad on a die grinder and did the whole stick with it. Chinese crap.

Yes, I think this is good advice!
(When I noticed it, I thought perhaps there might be a reason that it wasn't seated all the way to the flange. Thus, my thread here.)

Even with stock tubes, if mis-handled, it can go bad. That rolled edge 'flange' is a weak point, seen them crack, resulting in a leak.
If the tube mounting bracket lines up with the engine mount bolt...leave it alone, as long as it's not leaking.

In the past I have always had problems getting a tube in a fresh motor. Now I go to my drill index and get the closest sized bit and push it in and out by hand. Dirt and old sealant get cleaned out and I have not had any more issues. Disclaimer - Don't use a drill!

First, see if it's bolted to the block at the motor mount. If it is, it's not going anywhere. If it's not leaking, let it be. Next oil change, fill it with the right amount of oil and mark the stick if necessary .

All these guys are right - it’s probably been that way from birth. Leave as it is. Since you’re not leaking why fool with it. Just keep track of the oil on your next change. Completely agree with the other guys. You might open a can of worms you don’t want if you mess with it further.
