OK, I admit to being a noob when it comes to a disc brake upgrade. I want to upgrade to power disc brakes in my 66 Satellite that has manual drums. I have spindles from a 1979 Volare. I understand the change in spindle height, which doesn't concern me and the major components of the swap (rotors, master cylinder, bearings, dust shields, seals, calipers, prop valve hoses). What other parts will I need, such as a brake hardware kit, banjo fittings, etc?

Anybody have a parts list?

Or should I just plunk down $525 to Pirate Jack's and just get everything I need from the start?

Thanks!

Do you have the caliper adapters? Once you have those you'll need pads (76 dodge dart will work....are the calipers the slider type or pin?) Brake hoses for the same year (76), copper cruch washers (4). You should be golden then.

I have the caliper brackets, but no calipers so I don't know about pin or slider type. I think the '79 Volare used sliders. Can I tell by looking at the caliper brackets?

Do the adapters have a machined flat on either end or a hole?

The brackets have machined flats so that means I need slider type calipers. That's good. Now I need to measure the brackets to make sure I can use 11.75" rotors. I have 15" police wheels so the larger rotors should work.

What are the copper washers - can I get them at my local NAPA store?

The copper washers seal both sides of the banjo bolt, and yes Napa will have them. Ya gotta make sure you have the taller adapters to use the 11.75 rotors, otherwise it's 10.87 rotors.

Looks like I have the smaller caliper brackets so it's 10.87 rotors. Thanks for your help!

No problem. Dr.Diff (Cass) has them new (for 11.75 rotors) on ebay for about 100 bucks, might be worth a look.
