Guys I am doing a 66' Satellite and would like to keep the original steel 14" wheels and hubcaps. My car came with power drum brakes. Can anyone tell me if a disc brake kit is out there to meet this criteria?

if you were to say 14" magnum 500's I'd say yes... but steelies... don't know about that

SSBC's kit says 15" wheel minimum but my 14" magnums work fine, the 14" set of steelies tried to clearance themselves however.........

I don't know about the 14" steelies, BUT I've got 14" aftermarket wheels on the front of my satty with what I believe are '73 satty disc brakes.

This article is very helpful, and has some parts lists, including some stock take-off rotor/caliper combinations that will work with 14" rallye wheels.

I also seem to remember reading that some of the Wildwood calipers are low-profile enough to fit under 14" wheels on some combinations of stock (junkyard conversion) rotors.

Hope this helps some.

I used the 73-76 A-body disc conversion on my 63 330 and had 14" stock rims on it for a while.

I have 87 5th Ave brakes on my 66.

14" rallyes, 14" Magnums, and 14" steelies all work.

Depends on what disc set up you go with as well as which 14 inch rims you attempt to use. For example, the SSBC (A156) kit I recently installed on my '68 Coronet is supposed to work with 14" rims, but when I took off my 15" Magnum 500's for the winter and tried to install the original 14x5 inch steel rims they wouldn't clear the caliper. But when I tried a 14x5 inch Magnum rim it cleared.
I ended up buying/installing a pair of Baer 1/4" spacers on the front so the stock 14x5 steelies would clear the calipers.
