I have a 1969 Plymouth Satellite and I'm planning on updating the front brakes from drum to disc. There seems to be several good companies that make the full "kit" but the questions I have is.... I have a front sway bar, will that effect if I have front mount calipers? Or will I need rear mount calipers or does it make a difference? If you have experience on this upgrade please let me know, thanks.

I used 73 A body spindles and bought the rest at napa. I have a sway bar on my 67 and don't see how it comes into play with disc brakes. My cost was a tad under 400...no prop valve...just took off the drums/spindles and slapped the others in....plus a frontend alignment

I did what Terzmo did but also installed a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve and dual bowl master. Valve makes a big difference on stopping power going to where (frt-rear), when ya need it. 66 and older almost require it, along with the master. As they came single bowl. I have manual brakes, so I used a 15/16's piston diameter style to reduce pedal effort. Jerry

I think a lot of it depends on what you are planning. Stock style brakes or something more aftermarket (brembo, baer, willwood, cobra, etc)?

The kit I got from DrDiff (stage 2) has the following options:
Rear mount for '72 and older A-Bodies w/OEM Sway Bar
Rear mount for '69 and older B-Bodies w/OEM Sway Bar
Front mount for '72 and older A-Bodies without OEM Sway Bar
Front Mount for '69 and older B-Bodies without OEM Sway Bar
Front Mount for '73-'76 A-Bodies
Front Mount for '70-'72 B-Bodies
Front Mount for All E-Bodies

As I have a 68 with a front sway bar I went with the rear mounted calipers.
