distributor wiring

I purchased a mopar distributor off a member and need to adapt it to the 6AL plug, does anyone know which is + or -? I'm thinking red + and black -

Aren't the plugs keyed? And yes in dc voltage red is +

Yes but I have to chop the original plug off and put a new 6AL plug on so I just want to be sure which is which plus the original plug was missing.

I left the ends in tact and carefully disengaged the pins from the plastic connector and then just re did them to match the keyed end on the other female connector.
