I finally come across a Barn find. A Women is recommend to me for advise, Husband 82 has just passed away, was a car guy & former owner of 3 gas stations in Rockland & Orange county NY. Has 3 1967 chevy corvettes stingrays in trailers sitting since the late 1980's...... 1 motor is apart all 3 don't turn. I asked her the engine numbers & she repeat all big blocks. Wants to sell 2 to restore 1. The women is 78 years old. waiting on more information...
When you’re into cars for decades, you kind of get the reputation and skills that make cars and people come to you. I’m currently working on divesting a 40 vehicle collection, and I was approached at a big show recently by another longtime acquaintance to do the same for him, for about 50 cars. I’m at the age where I still have some fuel in the tank for the hobby, others even just 5-10 years older are tired and want out, and some were never in, they just got have the cars but never do anything with them. I’ve been telling them for years to **** or get off the pot, seems they’re all getting off! So, now is the time to get those vehicles to the public, IMO!
I think you’re right tho, sometimes you can almost feel them around when you’re driving, and I’m always scouting backyards instead of just looking out the window
