What do you do with/deal with a member that has ton's of parts, some most would kill for, wants to sell but is too damn lazy to list them ? Never understood that mentality !! :confused2:

I have quite a few things laying around that I need to sell but I've been so freaking busy lately that I haven't had the time to mess with it. I need to pack and ship two items to today and right now I'm having to deal with a plumber that's about to be here but just got done printing out the shipping labels and trying to eat breakfast at the same time....not to mention I've been a bit under the weather all week.

This is not a current situation, this has been going on for years, always hear " have to get rid of some of this ",ask about something more than once and others have too ,nothing ever happens,my solution, get off your *** and do something !!

Yep, it's different when someone lists as "for sale", then has horrible communication.

Not the same as having lots of stuff and not listing it.

Agreed :iamwithstupid: I have a few things I'd like to sell, that were take off or parts I'm not going to use... But many people are penny pinching cheapskates, even when stuff is listed & @ a very reasonable priced & I don't really want to deal with them for the most part, so I just offer something up for sale every once in a blue moon now... I'm sure many others feel the same way even if they don't want to admit it... sometimes people just don't know what to ask for something or are reluctant to even sell, but need to... :BangHead: it seems like everything I want or need is priced like it's worth it's weight in gold, instead of price like a 40+ y/o part should be, always has been like that in the Mopar community, it seems... :thatswck:

so that's why you are always "Cranky", huh?

That's precisely why the guy has all that stuff because he doesn't have the unction to get rid of it. Some call it hoarding.

I've got a friend just like that. He has all these parts, like 2 fenders,2 doors, and a flat hood for a 70 coronet and doesn't want to sell them cause he might find one for sale that will need this stuff. Has a 68 coronet that he's going to fix up "someday". Has a van full of parts that hasn't seen the light of day for 20+ years. I've been on for awhile that he needs to start selling this stuff before the end of the world comes.

I'd say it's Cranky's business so leave him alone unless he asks for help and don't make it public like this. If you know of something he has that you need, and he has stated he has too much and wants to get rid of some of it then make him an offer. If he doesn't take it that is his business.

Cranky has posted a few things for sale and sold them already so he's moving / doing something

I sold my BBHP exhaust manifolds here and am too lazy to pack them properly for shipping to New Jersey. I would give them away to an enthusiast who wants or needs them. I plan to ship them in Spring for no charge if they are still needed. It is not about the money.

i can not understand how some members here put ads on here with parts to sell and sometimes they have several ads at the same time and they just disappear and you can not get in contact with them or they will not respond to your pm.

Just watched an episode of "Pickers" - They hit a sprawling scrap yard full of vehicles, parts, old metal signs...... And nothing for sale....... The old guy will pass on to the great bone-yard in the sky - then his kids will sell it all. Well at least someone is saving things for future generations!

My little Bro held on to Grandpa's '62 wagon for 21 years, fending off buyers. I would not have that Mopar today otherwise....

Haggling/Packing/Shipping is all a pain in the ***! That's why!

Only for the mentally challenged, either too lazy or look what I have and you don't.There are also the ones that hold off for the last penny and really get pissed if they sell something today and find out tomorrow they could have got an extra buck !
