No was born there lol. But have always lived in WY or S.D. But we can still be friends lol. I always say anyone on here that comes out this way I would love to meet. Always have burgers and beer on hand. I live 9 miles from Mt. Rushmore. The Black Hills are a family vacation treat.

I wish I could say the same about Fiat owning Chrysler. I love their looks but the reliability in my experience has been horrible. My 2014 Ram had bad overheating issues and the 8 speed transmission started slipping/locking up at highways speeds. Both happened at the 15,000 mile marker. The only caveat to this is that it was the V6 version. Even still, should not have problems like that with under 20k miles. Fiat could not reproduce the problem and said I was out of luck. He said that the V6's like to run hot but I don't think a 232 running temp is normal on a cool day but oh well.

Then my wife's 2013 Dart has turned out to be a complete turd. Rack and Pinion failed twice (Struts once) under 34k miles. The second time may have been due to an incompetent dealer though. Maybe I got 2 lemons but it has left enough of a sour taste in my mouth that I will not buy another Dodge product again.

However, my 2010 Challenger R/T was awesome for the short period I had it. Wish I could have afforded to keep it at the time.

so is it just going to be a performance package to the challenger...or a new platform vehicle?

Seems like just minor appearance update and power train update to hold the junkies over until the new platform arrives, possibly at next years show.

Sorry to hear that. It bites for sure. As far as the 232 it seems a bit warm but I know a lot of the newer cars are designed to run warmer than older cars did. My 300 runs around 219 on warm or cold days. I had a new vette that always ran 220 +. I say if it is under warranty run it hard lol. I haven't heard much good about the darts. I think there being discontinued now. As far as Fiat being the issue in 89 I bought a new off the show room floor Sundance turbo coupe (back when it was all Chrysler). I had so much trouble with it that It fell under the lemon law and was gone after 6 months of ownership. I swore that day to never own another Chrysler product. But I have owned 4 or 5 since and loved everyone of them.

It's not surprising that FCA is trying to push even harder into the performance/muscle market. I think that they were a little caught off guard by the popularity of the fourth gen Challenger when it was introduced in 08. It has been successful beyond their wildest dreams. Now nine years later they are still a hot seller. Looking forward to seeing the new Demon. Hopefully it's more like the original than the Dart is.

Let's see if the morons can wad them up, faster than hellcats.

Does anybody have any suggestions for "realistic" insurance on a Hellcat?? Over 50 years old no tickets. I've looked at a couple of the antique/classic insurance companies and adding the Hellcat as an exotic (in addition to my Hemi Charger 500) is still awfully high.

If you can afford to own a hellcat you can afford the insurance.

Mine is about $1,200.00 per year through Grundy.

You know where this is going, some automaker is going to crack the 1000hp mark after this. It sure is a good time to be into high performance cars. We are in a "muscle car" era right now, enjoy it while it lasts because it may never be this good again!

cant wait for the release. the hellcat is without a doubt the funnest production car ive owned without modding it. ive had a CTS-V, srt challenger charger. If they made a SRT Durango i think i would own it too.

I wasn't a fan at first either, but they've put dodge back on top. If I'm not mistaken FCA has their hands in on Ferrari and a couple other exotic lines will be interesting to see the next generation of muscle cars they produce based off of the smaller/lighter guilia chassis (pretty sure I spelled that wrong...)
