Dodge Dude truck 1970 factory stripes

One of these trucks came up on FB Marketplace today but now I can't find it. I've never seen one but this guy was looking for quite a bit of money for it. I'm not too good at searching FB, so maybe someone can find the listing and post it up??

Yep, when I think of a truck, Don Knotts comes to mind...NOT!
Kind of a precursor to the GMC "Gentleman Jim" models.
WTF were they thinking?

It’s in Wisconsin. He isa asking 28k!

The Dude is kind of cool but not sure if you can even validate one. Just included the stripe, dog dishes and a chrome mirror head I think. I prefer the chromed up Adventurers. I sold this one a few years ago, Rust free Az truck, factory Road Runner pkg(JK) 383, 3.55 Sure Grip.

There is no way to validate whether a truck is a factory Dude or not, unless you get really lucky and have dealer paperwork on that truck, or find remnants of the decal under a paint job, or you are (or know) the original purchaser of the truck. You could get ANY available engine in a Dude (225, 318, 383). This was an appearance package only. Unfortunately, the stripe package is not being reproduced, currently.

It's been on there for a while
my neighbor went & looked at it a couple of weeks ago
pretty solid (he said) but too much money/asking price
every aspect needs attention, but it's all there 90k mile (?)
"ran when parked" :jackoff:
Darren said; "if it was a short-bed he'd have bought it,
(I told him, they didn't make a short-bed "Dude")
if he could have got it for like $10k-$12k"

IIRC the guy is asking like $15k
from what Darren said he's not moving off that #
I sort of think from what the guy said
he's trying to feel the market out

& IMO you'd think the guy would clean it up
& not just try & do the barn find "market" BS

It's saving grace, at-least it's on a concrete floor, undercover
not 'on dirt' or out in a field exposed
like most of them "barn finds" are
Does your buddy who looked at this a while back have this guys number.
Wondering if it’s still for sale?
Thanks
