Well once again I am up **** creek without a paddle,Ive learned all my rebuild skills from books and videos and this is my first project like ive told alot of u before, well when i pulled the engine I forgot to label my hoses and wiring now its been awhile and i cant remember where the hoses connect with the obvious exception of the upper and lower radiator hoses, also if i can ask one more stupid question what are the differences between the breather caps?some of the caps have a hose connection and some dont Im pretty confused on what breather to buy, thanks alot!

The ones with the nipple are to connect a hose to the air cleaner assembly IF it is set up for that hose. Everything else is simple. Only two heater hose connections on the motor, and two on the firewall....unless it's an A/C car. All the wiring (if original anyway) is in lengths and connectors such that it all falls in to place.

O.k thanks

what about the question I had about the breathers, what is the difference between the two styles? with or without the hose connection, which are easier to use? sorry if thats a stupid question like i said im a beginner, mechanically any way.

a bit of advice if i may? get a factory service manual for your particular car. they have illustrations and cover most things in depth.i,d be lost without mine

where can i find one?

where can i find one? ive looked every where and no dice, can i just order it through mopar?

thanks alot i will be ordering that service manual soon, then i can stop asking all of u stupid questions, thanks alot!

The only "stupid" question is the one you don't ask. There isn't a single person here who doesn't need to ask a question about these cars from time to time.

As far as the breathers goes, I can't say there is any advantage to either one....with one exception. IF you're building a race car then you might want to use the ones with the nipples and down to the header collectors via .....whatever you call those things (sorry...went blank). The exhaust exiting the headers then helps scavenge the pressure inside the block.

But for the street the nippled breather was used more for emissions than performance

Thanks for being cool about ****!

thanks alot to u 69 runner, meep meep and daredevil i dont know your real names mines obviously Ben,u have been alot of help to me with this project as soon as i can ill be more than happy to post u guys some pics of my progress,Im pretty much on my own with this project and u guys have helped make this possible, much appreciation!

Year one has manuals, and I had the breather with one hose to the unsilenced air filter cover.
