Well I think I am done with using ebay to sell stuff. their fees and paypals fees have just gotten too much to bear.

Ebay is taking way too much of the profit and now paypal holds your funds for up to 21 days or until the item is seen as delivered or until a buyer gives you a positive feed back. Just sux and with paypals cut taken out you end up with only 30% of the total profit it's robbery i tell ya!

On top of that they have modified the buyer protection so that no matter what the dispute is between a buyer and seller the buyer gets the refund out of your paypal account...even if the seller wins the dispute! uh wtf?

I say no thanks to all that non sense. found a site called ebid looks like it has been around since 1999 not well known but has lots of automotive stuff.

I will be listing future items there from now on.

Rant over :):angryfire:

I'll check it out. Ebay definitely needs some competition......

There's racing junk too its free to sell, don't think they take money when you do sell something

The main problem with the competition, is volume.

If there's only 10% of the potential customer traffic, than you won't get as many bids.

If there's less traffic, no one will list.

Kind of a vicious circle thing.

I have purchased very little from Ebay this past year....oh, other than my car that is. Most of my parts have come from CL and at a lower price than ebay and I have found some killer deals!!!

Try this for your next CL search....you can search pretty much the whole country if you want to including Canada.:headbang:

X2 what Red said! BTW!!!! There is this thing called "SearchTempest", http://www.searchtempest.com/
It has better search tools for CL, and it can search by DISTANCE! For some of us that dont mind driving 6 hours to get that one part, we're just happy to FIND it! Keeps you from having to go city-by-city.

I just tried it and it seems to almost be like Ebay they way its set up.. pretty neat, Thanks...

Hey guys, there is this thing called searchtempest!!

Real funny......

i think ill jump on that band wagon too BIG MAN....i sell stuff so i can make money....NOT EBAY!.. i thuink i posted something like this a few weeks ago bitchin' about the very same thing. ! ill try EBID. !

When I do random Craigslist searches for California I use http://www.statewidelist.com/

CL does not work well for selling too many hacks just waning your email address so they can spam it. for me I would be better off with a garage sale lol I like the auction style or buy it now style I just don't want to end up with only 30% of the asking price! hard to mark up something so much to try to cover that then it becomes ridiculously priced and obvious. Ebay just sux now, it's nice as a buyer but for a seller it's a looser.

Searchtempest is a big plus as far as multiple localities go-
But you still have to do multiple searches-

1966 coronet
1966 charger
1966 plymouth
1966 belvedere
1966 satellite
