I took my 1971 RT to a local body shop to install two new passenger door hinges (upper and lower) to help my slightly sagging door. They suggested I also replace the striker and I said fine. They picked up a pack of 2 strikers at a local auto parts store. They fixed the passenger door just fine. But they decided, without asking me, that since the striker came in a pack of 2, why not change the striker in the driver's door, too? Well, they changed that striker and now the driver's door sags and they cannot fix it. I got my car out of there ASAP.
My question is: By just replacing the striker on a nicely aligned door, how did it get screwed up? Any suggestions on the possible cause?
Thanks.
