Driveshaft help

Close....I need two sets for two cars...the strap is 1/4 wide with a bend on each end and has two special c clips with a notch and the strap slides through to hold the cups in place.

Nos u joints do not come with them. It was a factory line piece only. The strap can be easily made but the cup notch clips are a different story....

napa's find o' really okay autozone well . my first stop would have been a driveline shop , they could tell you whats what with your line . sounds like someone put a small yoke r/e in your car , modified the d/l to match . i would have put a wrenched u joint in it , that accommodates both u joint sizes of the cross .

When I saw them it was at least 30 years ago. Didn't pay much attention to them. All I remember is strap with the clip. You must be trying for a 100 point restoration.

OK guys thanks for the info and helping me with part numbers. The 1330X did the trick for the front ujoint. And the rear I had to modify the clamps a little to get them to close down on the 315G but its good now. Changing that to a 3.23 rearend made a hella difference in the way it felt on the road. I mean it was running @55mph 4500 rpm ALA the old tach. Don't know the true rpms but you can tell when its revving higher than it supposed to.

Also installed the decal set today.. I think I am officially done with the RR until I tackle the steering gear. And shocks.
Hope the placement is correct. I'm pretty sure I have them well placed.

I wish when you saw them you kept them lol......One service and the trash can they went or the originals rusted away. Not trying bro thats the way I tackle them, it is the type of restos I enjoy to do. Keep an eye out if you find even one set I would compensate very well...Below is a pic

Nice car I like red.
I drove to and from Papa's Dodge show today with 4.10's, awful. Had open rear with 3.23's had a noise. Put the 4.10's thought it would be fun. NOT! It was 15 to 20 miles each way. They'll be coming out in the fall or sooner!

ya , my 4.56's get to you on any trips not on the 1/4 mile , lol . but its a street fighter . maybe a gv in its future .

This car is not a total restoration. Its just a very decent driver. Under the hood was pretty much untouched other than to bring it back to OE look. Still need to get a repop washer tank and a few other odds and ends. But in the grand scheme of things its meant to drive and be seen not a trailer car. But, I see the awesomeness of that too. So I'm not cracking on those guys either. Just want to drive and not worry so much about it being touched.

Converted his picture from a pdf to a PNG.

its no showy , we drive and run the car , when i can . building a new engine package for it , this setup is very soft on dcr . the new one will have more of what it needs to get there quicker . still staying with a max wedge set up , just the newer version on the new package .

I have one used set you can have if you want it. I doubt I'll ever do anything with them. These are off a 7260 u joint sio they may be too small.

Beautiful car, glad you got it worked out.

You say you are turning 4500rpm @ 55 with 3.23 rears?

My car (727auto) with 3.23 rears and 26" tires turns right at 3000rpms @ 73 mph

Not it was turning 4500 @55 with 3:91 rear gears.. Not a happy place for the wallet and gas.

Got it! 3.23's are nice cruising gears for sure. My latest has 3.55s which I have never ran before.

The guy we got the car from said he wasn't sure if it was a 3:23 so we never found out till we took it out for a highway run. I was like WOW we should be running a quarter. :)
