:icon_eyes:Has anyone put a dual quad intake on a 318? I don't want it for necessairily more power as much just for astetic appeal. Probably some of you will think why on a 318. Truth is I have always wanted a multi carb engine and all I have is 67 Coronet with a 318 and do not really see my financial situation to change much from here on out. If I do this swap, I'm quessing 500cfm carbs or smaller will be the max. Thanks, guys I really will appreciate your input. Dave

is this a stock 318 ? have there been any upgrades done ...head work, cam, ignition...etc etc

where as that would look very cool, not sure you could get twin carbs to run ok on a stock 318.you might be able to run a pair of 400 cfm holley's,but it would be tough to get them to run ok.

Not common as you know but doable. First get a divided plenum dual plane intake and very small carbs. A Edelbrock D66 comes to mind but will be hard to find. Here's an example of a sold one -

Carter used to make a 400 CFM AFB (list 9400) so do some fleabay searching. Or equally as hard to find are a set of AFB's from an early Buick with the 340 engine or a 273 MoPar power pack or just about any small V8 in the mid 60's. If you want to get creative or happen to stumble upon a pile of carbs, you can use just about any matching pair of small OEM carbs like the Rochester 4GC and WCFB Carter. I'd suggest the Autolite 4100 but those will not fit inline but the 4300 for the 289/302 might. Set them up progressively using the rear carb as the primary.

Thanks guys, Thinkin I will leave alone for now. Done much already to the engine bay, Mopar Performance valve cover and Air cleaner, as well Edelbrock performer intake manifold and Eddy 650 cfm, Firm Feel steering box, alum. radiator. Thinkin I may pull the motor and trans. together this winter and paint the bay. Would love to post some pictures, but cant seem to figure how to.
