This is not my area of expertise, so I hope I am asking this question correctly. I have a friend who has a dyno that is set up for Chevy's. It looks like I would need to get a bell housing converter to be able to dyno my 383? Is anyone familiar with what I might need or where I can get it? I assume this is possible, but maybe not? I appreciate the help.

You probably want to use a manual trans flywheel and a bell housing to mount the starter. You will also have to find out how the dyno is coupled to the crank and possibly make an adapter, not to mention motor mounts, headers, etc...

The last Dyno we tested on you did not need a flywheel or starter. They have an interface plate with various drilled bolt patterns that you hook directly to the crank. The unit has its own independent starter motor so you wont need one. You will need your headers, distributor, carb, gaskets, fuel ect to test. As for the mounts they also have very adjustable mounting blocks to take different engine combos. You should be ok unless your friends unit is a home built deal, then you will have to get creative. Good luck.
