I once owned a gun metal grey 74 RR 318 3 spd bucket seat, white interior with red and black plaid seat inserts. Didn't take long for me to make a 340 4spd car then I painted it yellow and black.. lol Ended up spinning a rod bearing and then trading it in on a 74 Challenger 318/AT car. That "soot" on the left rear quarter is where I caught it on fire trying to weld in spring perches and inadvertently poked a hole in the gas tank with the end of the welding rod (stick welding), to say it was an significant emotional event would be an understatement...Yes my 74 was originally stock with 318 bench 3 speed manual on the floor. It now has a 4 speed 440. That’s why I asked the question above if the 3 speed and 4 speed humps were the same. When you ordered the RR option that’s what you started with and you could change seats, transmission, motor and more from there. Why somebody would get the RR option and not change the 318 is beyond me. My car wasn’t even optioned with a tachometer. You would think with a manual car, the factory would make a tachometer standard. The only option I can see that was ordered on my car was a sunroof. Unfortunately the fender tag was removed.
