Hemi car. Stick size or F series? Doesn’t look like removing trim piece helps either. Is there some unique convoluted Mopar technique? Will deflating tire make a difference?

Some people with air shocks with a bottlejack jack down the spring. Regular shocks you remove shock from shock plate and jack spring. Had L60 15"s had to do that, never had to do that on the road, no flats traveling. If you look at rear tire you can see how close tire is.

Axle has to hang. I've never had to remove shocks, but sometimes it helps to start the tire from under the axle.

Don't forget, safety first.

I'm not believing I'm reading this. E70 14 is smaller than the original tires. Yes, jack the car up, not the axle.

Jack the body up, let the axle hang. The wheel/axle should drop enough to make it easier.

That’s all I needed. I had put it in jack stands not thinking it would prevent removal. Thanks guys!
Chalk up mopar lesson #467 …

Ah. Ok it’s on jack stands on the axle now. So have to drop down then jack up that side on the body?
Correct, I agree with Jerry. I also suspect you might have sagged or bagged out springs. I know that Chargers could handle G and H series tires. A friend has 67 Satellite, didn’t ask for advice. Bought a set of road wheels, think 8x15. Put nice fat tires on and became very unhappy when he had to jack the body up to take a tire off. He did get new springs. Car rides and handles better.
