Any one out there had any experience or know someone , that has used
a Eagle brand stroker kit for a 440 for higher HP like 800HP to 900Hp drag car only?
I know they come with the Mahle pistons, have had no experience with that brand, any good?
I'm using the Mopar aftermarket cast iron block 4.500 finished bore. 572cid.
Great price on it, but will it live?
Thanks for any help.
Joe.

I have an eagle crank, rods and wrist pins all seem to be excellent quality and still spinning.

they have there place in the market, but when you start getting to really hi HP levels in a B-RB wedge, skimping on the internals isn't a good idea, I did run a Eagle stroker kit from Mancini Racing with upgrade H-beam rods & speed-pro pistons {IIRC}, good ARP hardware etc., for a 5.2ltr/318-390ci stroker internally balanced, great for the prices, I didn't have any issues, but I wasn't making anywhere near 900hp either... In my hi-hp stuff, blown or N20 or N/A, I used Callies cranks & Crower Rods usually not exclusively thou {or Carrillo, Lunati, Compstar, KI, Callies, Manley, Oliver, Molnar, Ultra etc.} for a little more money, but more felt comfortable with using them or in really hi-hp combos used Keith Black internals stuff, with Venolia pistons & Rod &/or Childs & Alberts aluminum rods, bearings & Zero gap rings, for boosted/blown combos, {Not since 2007}... But I'm not sure of the status of either company any more, Joe Pisano was an honored sponsor to many drag racers, I couldn't have raced without his help, was the Owner of Venolia & partner in Childs & Alberts, he has passes & the original owner of Childs & Albert has passed & gone, the they went thru money issues... there are allot of choices out there, allot depends on your budget & actual HP & style of racing or RPM's/abuse you'll put it thru... good luck whom ever you decide

I have a Eagle Stroker rotating assembly in my 63 Plymouth for 9 years now with 0 issues.
Eagle crank, rods, with the good ARP 2000 bolts(this is the key) get the best rod bolts they make and make sure your engine builder make sure all clearances are correct. I make 735 hp in a 500 ci indy 440-1 headed motor with a MP Megablock and have run a best of 9.96 in a 3650 lb. savoy.

Just stay away from the 440 source stuff. That's junk.

I'm not buy the 440 Source is junk story. I've run the 440 Source 4.15 stroker kit in my 440 block with Victor heads and made 928 HP naturally aspirated with no problems. The Eagle cranks I've used have needed more corrections than any of the 440 Source parts.

I'm now building with a 4.25 stroke kit from 440 Source and am still impressed with the quality I've received. Best of all I can screw in, by hand, the front damper bolt that I had to retap with an Eagle crank.

The Eagle product is fine for street motors, if you can afford it A Kellogg or Callies Crank. Rods I think the Oliver is still real good product for racing. Most of the rods and cranks are based on Foreign production blanks so I am sure some one can tell us what is actually still US Forging blanks. With CNC machining some of these compaines still manage to survive in Obama Disater land.

IQ52 can you give us some details ?? I'd like to hear/see about the build & results... I too use 2 different Platinum Series, 100% Made, Forged & Machined in The USA, www.440source.com 479ci 4.15" X 4.290" bore, B-engine H-beam rod, stroker rotating assemblies from them, went best of 9.77 @ 135mph N/A & 8.58 @ 156mph w/300shot N20 with a single Quickfuel 1050cfm Dominator {100* heat un-prepped track, Sacramento Raceway test & tune July & Aug. 2006ish} normally ran just a trick Quickfuels & Promaxx 6bbl, Ported RPM heads, Crane Roller, 440source girdle, ARP hardware, etc. 3520# thru the mufflers, run 9.90's all day long... I had good luck with them too, my old 68 RR ran some 7 years, but I'm not sure how many passes or miles, with a 440source assembly, before I sold it, albeit not just track time, it was street driven to the track & cruises too & it's still on the street & track today in Sacramento area... just watch out for a silver & black accented 68 RR...LOL... my current 383/479ci-6bbl 68 RR RM23 is a very similar build, just less compression & camshaft, gears, but also has a 4.15" 440source rotating assembly in it too, so far-so good... I'm not sure where the Junk stuff comes from maybe some have had issues, I haven't with the rotating assemblies anyway, I did have issues with the original Stealth heads thou, they made it good too, PITA but they were good to me....
