saw that over @ dc.com forum too, allot of Astute Knowledgeable Aero-Car Aficionados over there, but it seems kind of weird if that Daytona was stored inside since 1974, why is it so rough & why the rust in the rear quarters ?? seems kind of odd, seems like it would be, in allot better shape to me anyway...

I can't believe that someone will pay 130 large for that, needing a full restoration. More money than brains; that's for sure.

or typical E-scam shill bidder's.... I wouldn't be all that surprised to see it listed again.... Or maybe someone has allot of cash to throw at a Daytona project, that they will be into for probably $250k after it's all said & done, depending on how much work they do themselves... seem pretty damn high priced for the condition, to me anyway... oh well

If you recall, this is the same junkyard in NY that "sold" the 1968 hemi Charger rot box with no title a month or so ago.

I actually didn't remember that name of the place, it makes more sense now...

"stored inside" doesn't mean anything. For instance, if it was inside my barn, it could be under a leaking roof, cold and damp all the time. I've had stuff rust that was stored inside. Inside a heated garage, for sure this car wasn't.

yeah I have stuff that rusts in my garage too, I live up in the Sierra's, moist damp cool air, cold winters, snow rain etc., but never as bad as that car looked...

he posted he wanted $350k for it on Moparts....I think his friends bidded it up to $130k and he still has the car
