Just had ecu quit on my 440, installed chrome box in place of cheap aftermarket one that just quit. Now when crank it doesn't seem to fire until i let off of ignition key. 2 questions, is this common with the chrome box as i have only used it on the circle track car, should I just replace with orange box as it is on my daily driver pickup with a warmed up 440, lastly have i seen another company/brand making an different style ecu unit to replace the mopar one. oops that was 3 questions but thanks in advance for any info you have.

Check Ballast resistor for the no start ........Use test light..check two sets of wires that connect to your ballast separately. One should be hot in run, the other is hot when started. Make sure you grounded the ECU well........

Ballast is bypassed when cranking. You either have a bad ECU, ignition switch, or wiring. The chrome box works fine on the street, in my experience, and the last is probably the rev-n-ator, which, is do some research on...
