Edelbrock carb’s on early 2x4 intake

Will the new Edelbrock carbs fit on the early cast iron factory in-line 2x4 intake?
I’m guessing the butterfly openings might need to be enlarged.

I’m not worried about that as long as they are far enough apart to make or buy linkage.

Seems like the early Carter afb’s are getting harder to come buy.

There is an adapter posted in this thread. Don't know if it works or not. I went with opening up the holes with a reamer.

Use the inner mounting holes on the Edel carbs & they will bolt on. The passages in the carb base may cause an air leak. I believe Edel makes a thin plate to cover these.
