I expect mine will be done earlier too, but until it hits the rollers I won't know. My friends LS had a cam that should have been done by 6K, but he had higher flowing heads than I do which may have explained why it kept pulling past 7K. I'd be much happier with a lower powerband.

142 is flying, it's certainly making plenty of power. Transbrake car?

Awesome, some similarities to my build. E85/blow though no intercooler. I have the choice of 3.23 or 3.55 gears, leaning towards 3.23 currently. I only have an 8-3/4" rear, so I'm avoiding a T brake. Vehicle weight should be similar. What is your 60'? I'm hoping for a 1.5-1.6 foot braking. Just looked up ported SB heads, it's quite likely you have more airflow than I do :) If I may ask, how many pounds of boost? Thanks.

Better valve train time.
Back in the day.......
It just wasn’t possible, I know. It was what it was and today it is what it is.

Ya, we can do much better today. Aftermarket cranks, better rods, better valve springs, taller valve height, & better geometry is obtainable.
