pulled my heads of to regasket motor and the heads have some tinny little corrosion pits, do i need to resurface these ? or can i just bolt them back up , dont want to raise comp so kinda leary about resurfacing..
Did you blow a head gasket? Just about anytime I have the heads off a car I will run them to the machine shop to have them checked for straightness and a light surface. Especially aluminum heads that have more of a tendency to warp. Just something I've always done. Seems like cheap insurance.
No blown gasket , just that we only have one machine shop here and they are very pricey , and they kinda have the attitude it needs to be done weather it's needed or not
definetly feels like a blown head gasket or water leak, why else would there be corrosion there? i have heard some people use coppercote on the gasket maybe try that when reinstalling
