Does anybody know if they make an electric choke kit for a 70 440 six pack setup? I’m not getting enough heat off the aluminum intake to activate the choke.
You can make one but I never had much luck with it@72RoadrunnerGTX knows how
Yep, done it several times, all still working as intended.@72RoadrunnerGTX knows how
You selling them?
Interesting, would have to think about it. The timer parts are cheap, requires an original or repo six-pack choke spring assembly and a later heated Thermoquad type choke spring, and a bit of time. Could be spendy however. Will gauge the interest level. You selling them?
My aluminum 6bbl intake would warm up quickly like any aluminum does, and I just had to make sure the linkage of the mechanical choke was tweaked and free to actuate and move freely.I am one of the few. My choke closes for the cold start, choke pull off opens the choke blade. I can't walk away from the car to warm it up, but just wait till I have engine temp. I don't drive cold engines. It is a SB, aluminum heads with no crossover. I can live with it. I do like the electric choke idea, I have seen it somewhere else, great solution! I am sure that there is interest in it, very clean looking work!
