So i've got a female spade on that wire and not sure where it came from.
Welp, we can bring this one to a close. All back together and ZERO draw (with clock disconnected) and 13mAH draw with it back in the loop.
Plus I now have a working key buzzer and dome light. That had been on my to-do list and ended up being a byproduct of this repair. While I was at it, I plugged the holes in the firewall, and bled the line for the oil pressure gauge (aftermarket) - those air gaps were keeping me up at night.
