Anyone know the correct paint codes for the Hemi Orange engine paint, and/or what black they used on the pulleys. I'm assuming it's plain jain gloss black, but with my luck the first person that sees it will say "Awww shucks, ya shoulda used the Anvil Black, paint code 666. That there's the Pitch Black, paint code 663."

Thanks!!

I found the engine color. As I thought, there are different color oranges used depending on engine model and year. Some folks refer to "race hemi orange" and "street semi orange" and, as with most things surrounding older cars, there is a lot of debate about what is what. The best info I could find documented, is below.

• 1962-63 - All orange engines used Mopar Paint P4120751. We now referred to this as Race Hemi Orange
• 1964 only race engines used orange P4120751 (Wedge and Hemi). The street version of the Wedge (not to be mistaken for the "Street Wedge") used Turquoise. (Hemi was still only a racing engine)
• 1965 all Wedge engines used P4120751, the "Street" Hemi used P4120751. We now refer to this as Street Hemi Orange.
• 1966 and later - All orange engines switched to Mopar Paint P4120751. This included Hemis, high perf/police 318, 383, and 440s. 1969 and 1970 (or 70-71 depending on your source) some 340 engines were painted Hemi Orange, but not all.

For the black, I'm just going to use a Semi-Gloss. :)
