The black's nice, altho in my black bay I wonder if it'll look too plain...

Benno, I'd go Hemi Orange on yours if it was me, seeing as you already have the airbrushed orange filter top. Better to keep a colour flow within the bay rather then have a scatter gun of colour.

yeh ur right the black looks alright, nut with the colour of my car already a dark colour i think i will stick with hemi orange, maybe a coat of pearl clear over the top for some shine.( MAYBE )

I have a black bay and to me it looks good. It just makes tags chrome and aluminum pop out more. To each is there own

You have to make it the way you want it! Your engine looks good and should look very cool in there, its going to stand out good with the aluminum and chrome...

Mopars need to be Hemi orange ! Hey what ever you like best is what you paint it. I want to try and stay close to the Max Wedge look with mine so its Hemi orange. I even painted my aluminum heads and it holding up good. Ron

'68 Coronet 440, in the paint shop atm. Aiming to make it look like a debadged RT. So RT tail lights and panel (Assuming I can find a set), RT tail stripe (68 has no RT etc in the stripes) and black out grill. Got a fairly stock 440 nearly ready to drop in. Just waiting on getting back, that and I need to scrap up probably 2-4000 for parts to finish it off. Postage has killed any budget I had!

I generally go to a lot of shows down here. Mainly rod and custom shows but I aim for the 'American', muscle and mopar shows when I find out about them. I went to the Camperdown cruise 2 weeks back and I had some art up at the Oil Stained Brain bike show last weekend. I think the next one thats on the radar is the Kustom Nats at Phillip island early next year. Although there's a small American muscle show on the 18th of November, which I might have to swing by.

I'm really keen to get some up close photos of a B-Body engine bay for reference once I start putting mine back together, as I never had a full bay on mine. So I'm sure I'm missing things, which I most likely wont work out til I try and get it back together.

What about you? Theres a couple of good shows I know about up there. I've been meaning to get up there for the 'Garterbelts and Gasoline' show on the QLD Labour day weekend for a while now. I usually have some art in it, the guy who runs it is the editor for Gasoline and Cruisin' mag, seams like a nice bloke.

i dont know of any shows up here, didnt know there was any ( i am in Mount Isa ). my car is due to be done in 4 weeks i get the engine back in 2 from the machine shop then reassemble. i have everything else already rebuilt sitting there waiting for the engine to go in. cant wait to feel the 600-700 horses on the streets
