I saw some info on 383 engine block id stamp: A 383 = 1965, B 383 = 1966
My question is would a 1965 model year car that was built in 1966 have a block with an A or B stamping?

If the car is a 1965 model it would A but there were no 1965 models built in 1966. The build 65s from august of 64 through July of 65.

Duh, that's right! My car was built Jan, for some reason my mind went to 1966. Thanks
