IMG_1340.jpgFound an "A" under the valley pan, cant fing any info. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey Jburt, How are you doing? Is this on the latest and greatest? I'll try and find out.

O.K., The "A" signifies 0.020+ oversize cylinder bores. The 6 and the 5 are assembly dates (June 5) The E440 means a 1969 440 engine, and the W means that the engine was built at the Windsor Plant.
Hope this helps!

OK thanks. Yes this is in the A12. Intake was pouring oil out the rear.

Did the past owner have any motor work done that he knows of? At least if you need to go 0.030 over it can be honed and doesn't need to be bored! Good luck!

engine only had a valve job done a long time ago.
