Engine torn down

I am getting closer, I have the motor torn down and eveything looks really good.

High volume oil pump, new seals, racer brown cam, I have guy working on it and he gave me a huge list of suggestions and I need to finish going over the list tomorrow at work.

Well bad news for me, pistons are sloppy. Going to bore 30 over and new mains and rod bearings. What's everyone's thoughts on hardened seals due to I want to be able to drive it and possibly put some miles on her.

I prefer soft seals. Hard seals will crack and make the engine smoke.

I assume you mean hardened valve seats {not seals}, it's not a bad idea, if you plan on driving it regularly, especially if your tearing the heads down & doing a valve job anyway, your already in there, that's the time to do it...

You probably like "soft seats" too, I've heard hard ones will make your crack smoke.

Yes valve seats, I think I am going with hardened.
