Hello,
I am trying some history on esta from the 1970s thru the mid 80s. Primarily I am interested in the ss/da class results and this car. It was owned by Dave Johnson. It is rebels two 1199 ss/da class.
this car also ran at utica/rome speedway.

Sorry no history on a division 1 car or driver... But it's a damn cool car... have you tried to Google or Wikipedia any of the names or recent or former owners/persons involved ??, or contacted any of the local ADRA NHRA NDRA IHRA, SuperStock organizations/clubs or whom ever/sanctioning bodies & tracks for information/history.. older local racer maybe too

Been trying for awhile now. I have called nhra, ahra and esta. They say that they have no archives.

Wow it's been almost 25 years since I have seen that car and then it was on top of a car hauler. Too bad that Dave passed away last year. You might try contacting Bob Henry as he knows the car.

I just found this on a search for something else.... So forgive bringing up an old thread.

Yes, Dave passed last year. I believe Al Gaquis (pronounced Jockey and I probably spelled it wrong) and Lynn Mooney were partners in the car. I'll PM some further info.

I do seem to remember the roll cage was done by Wolverine in Detroit(?), but you are really going back 30 years.
