I had rubber mounts and a chain in my 11 sec bracket car for years and decided to go drivers side solid- my buddy laughed. One trip out ( new motor 10.50s) with the hood off and couldn't believe how much it still moved around. If you have a pair put them both in and be done with the broken problem.
Well, I already have the solid mounts, and then would need to get a torque strap on top of a new mountYou could always run a torque strap like I did on my small block that went into the same car body as yours.

Unless he drives like an animal and forgets using the clutch....like a few guys I know.4 speeds are fun to drive but tricky to get good times.
You've got both solid mounts. Put em in. But if the vibration is too much, change the pass side out for rubber.Well, I already have the solid mounts, and then would need to get a torque strap on top of a new mount
Those people you know have any modifications to slam them in easier? I don't know how much anything like faceplate gears or anything short of a true crashbox would helpUnless he drives like an animal and forgets using the clutch....like a few guys I know.
Low 14.0 sec passes are nothing to be sneezed at for a stock full bodied car
I have been told it's all about how you pedal the gears. Those people you know have any modifications to slam them in easier? I don't know how much anything like faceplate gears or anything short of a true crashbox would help

Listen to Dandy Dick Landy on a few of his 1/4 passes....

Don’t forget the clutch, hard on the transmission.I got more of that down, helps dailying a stick that you can beat on more and it just takes it, I was referring more to the forgetting the clutch part
There was someone here explaining how to shift clutchless not long ago.I got more of that down, helps dailying a stick that you can beat on more and it just takes it, I was referring more to the forgetting the clutch part
Only time I touch the clutch in my Bee is at a stop sign. Been doing it for 48 years. Certainly can't drag race it that way... well bracket racing you could and be really consistent !There was someone here explaining how to shift clutchless not long ago.
Ehhh, flat shifting a factory 833 without the clutch? I’d have to see that to believe it.Only time I touch the clutch in my Bee is at a stop sign. Been doing it for 48 years. Certainly can't drag race it that way... well bracket racing you could and be really consistent !
I believe Wayne....I just couldn't bring myself to do it.Ehhh, flat shifting a factory 833 without the clutch? I’d have to see that to believe it.

That #'s 833 has 158,000 miles on it, never been taken apart.I used to have a Ford pickup I shifted like that.
Before too long it wouldn’t stay in gear and I had to rebuild the trans.
But then again, it was a ford.
