Hey guys today I am dropping my car off at a shop to get some work done on it. I need the rear transmission seal replaced, the oil pan seal and the coolant leaking. I'm wondering on what estimated cost should be, I'm guessing under $2000. Do any of you guys have a rough idea of what this bill might be?

What kind of car are you talking about? If it's your '70 RR, that would be a very high estimate. I had a very similar problem on my '66 Coronet 500, and I think my bill was around $400.

Ya I should have mentioned that it was for my roadrunner 383 and a 727 trans

Chasing leaks can be a heartache. My wrench uses dye when possible to correctly identify sources. My TKO, my friends R4, and another's 727 all have leaks right now. When mine stops dripping, I fill it up again. Takes years.

I don't think anyone could give you a realistic estimate unless they knew where the leaks were coming from and the amount of labor involved, especially coolant leak, hose clamp? Water pump? Freeze plug? Have your trusted shop check it out for you and get a good estimate you both agree on before giving them the OK to proceed with repair.

The trans tailshaft seal can be done on the car in a matter of minutes, if the car is on a lift. The oil pan normally requires loosening of the motor mounts to lift the engine up a bit to allow dropping of the pan and replacement of the gasket. The coolant leak is the variable; as that could be anything from an old hose to a leaky waterpump gasket to a weeping core plug to a leaking radiator. Like I mentioned on mine, it was in for another issue, and I had the guy fix the other problems at the same time.

Thanks for the replies, I dropped the car off and as it was being loaded I saw that the trans was leaking from the drive shaft. The oil and coolant I still have no clue. The shop that I dropped the car off at had another 70 RR that was lemon twist and they where installing a 576 hemi into it. When I pick the car up I will try and take pictures of the yellow roadrunner.

You should be able to get that done for "way" under $2,000.
