Ok, I my life savings is drained and I have the vert top to finish ($1500) and the exhaust. Any other options for bolt in exhaust. I don't Trust Midas and the other muffler guy in town is ok but I want something nice. Do I have any options? 65 Coronet poly with TTI Headers

Maybe check Accurate Exhaust. They have a lot of pre bent kits.

if your life savings is drained.....dont bother calling Accurate Exhaust....if ya catch my drift!:blob1:

Well, it's not that bad......lol..... My point was more that I am about 800% over budget on my car and was trying to get by with a decent exhaust for less than $578.00 (TTI) but I think it's like everything else.....You get what you pay for...... I was dreaming......:tired:

note that i DO NOT have headers on my car....but when i was shopping for an exhaust from the exhaust manifolds back, i called a few places and Accurate was one of them. Although they came with a high recommendation, the price was over $1,000.00 for my 70 Road Runner....thats with NO headers and i would have had to install myself. I took it to a reputable shop and got the whole thing custom bent with flow master 40's and "H" pipe for $600.00...and i didnt have to lay under a car for hours on end!

TTI headers on a Poly? No wonder your life savins is drained.
I know Right? I feel young when I say that....lol

Ok, Thanks.....Since I like laying under my car now that it is clean and purrdy, I will most likely get the TTI 2.5" with ultraflow mufflers (little up charge I think since it comes with super turbo's). It sholud only take me 4 hours or so to bolt it in. Chicago Connection offers free shipping.

To me TTI is worth the money as I put the TTI 3" system with an X-pipe on my 63 all the way to the rear bumber. I believe I paid around $600 for it without the mufflers as I bought Dyno-Max Ultra-Flow mufflers. I tell you it fit so nice I surprised as how little hassle it was for me to install. I love the sound and it seems to work great as I race my 63 through the full exh system and it pulls nice and hard through the pipes. In fact I have never uncapped my car. If you can swing the money the TTI is worth it to me. Ron

Yes, I agree. I ran the same setup you have on my 72 Duster 422 Stroker except I had the super turbos, I really wanted the ultraflow's though. here is a video of the very 1st pass with the 422 installed running through the exhaust. (that's my son talking, he was as stoked as I was....lol)

Contact Dave or Chris at ModernMusclePerformance.com They are trying to expand their classic car market and may give you a better price. In Feb. I ordered TTi ceramic coated headers and 2 1/2" exhaust (with mufflers) through them and they saved me $150 total from what everybody else was quoting me. That included accommodating my special order of `67 GTX tail pipes (vice `66 Belvedere tail pipes) and `67 GTX Stainless exhaust tips from Accurate! They made all the phone calls to the two vendors ensuring all the pieces would work (fit) together prior to ordering and kept me updated through-out the process. If I had questions, they always got back to me.

I'm guessing if you reference a complete header, exhaust system and tips order for `66 Belvedere II with a Poly 318, made in Feb. by a guy in MD, they would remember it well and be glad to know we are passing around the names of good businesses.

It's just another quote...I highly recommend giving them a call.

Oh! Go with the H-pipe. The older small blocks tend to respond better than with the X-pipe...and your ride is easier to work on should you need to.

Will do, Thaks for the info....Yeah the X pipe on the Duster was a bear, Thought I would try H-pipe this time.......Thanks

on my 64, I bought TTI tailpipes,($250 or so delivered), Thrush Turbo Muffs(50 bucks from Summit) Summit universal x pipe kit ($100 Swap meet)Headpipes at local shop($150) in to factory Manifolds. Aircraft style V band clamps, $50. All is 2.5 inch and it sounds pretty darn good. My neighbor is a stainless welder by trade so the headpipes were the only labour costs. It ended up a bit cheaper than TTI but not that much.

Exhaust

I have posted these before but we both have Poly's.
This is TTI's Headers and full exhaust.

Thanks for the pic's Darter.....I have decided to go that route......that looks like a real nice setup. What year is year and model is your car?

1964 Belvedere. IF you buy direct from TTI, tell them that the guy from Vegas sent you.
Might help,,might not. Make sure your motor mounts and tranny mount are in good shape and you shouldn't have any fitment issues. When I did mine I installed Schumacher's urethane mounts.

Mounts

Some more photo's. The car is just a driver and has not been restored so some shots of under carriage looks crappy.
