FBBO team,

I'm in the process of trying to get my decent looking tips of my exhaust, and to no surprise they wont come off or budge. The reason for removal is that I need to add some new hangers and I wanted to buff up the tips to make them look better. I unbolted the brackets and tapped them for a bit with the old dead-fall hammer, but got no where. any recommendations?

You should be able to buff them up once the hangers are unbolted. You should be able to bend the exhaust pipe down far enough to do that. If that fails, you'll have to cut them off, heat them up to remove the exhaust cut off portions and reinstall them using sleeves.

My TTI tips came with clamps and some tiny dowel pins, one for each side, to keep them from spinning.

If you have no pins, try some penetrating oil and let it soak overnight. If that fails, try running the engine or driving the car and take them off after you shut it down.

Good tip sir, Ill give that a shot.

If all else fails,HEAT & BEAT:blob1:
