Fake 4 Speed shifter

I like the idea a lot. I wonder if you put the shifter handle on the other side of the T handle,and put a shorter permanent red lever to operate the button,but it would look like a reverse lockout lever.

I think you could but the shifter would not be in the middle side to side and the boot Might not work properly in the factory cut out on the console top plate. I think the Boot would be the issue.
