So i stumbled across these tires today and can honestly say ive never seen them. Were they made after the original goodyear polyglas tires? i think they are pretty unique looking. They are virtually brand new with less than 500 miles on them. Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15s:

This is an ad from 1969, not sure what year those are from but I would bet they would be worth a few bucks to the right person.

Those appear to be much later than the originals or the ones in the ad - note the "open" lettering. Don't quote me, but my memory is that such lettering style didn't come around til 77 or 78. I know the set of Goodyears that I bought in 76 had the solid letters. I also seem to remember that the open ones were around in 78 [OE on Corvettes in a radial], so my guess is that these are from somewhere in that time period up until production of this line ceased - mid to late 80s maybe? Can't remember...Unless of course Coker or someone similar happens to be reproducing them in this style, [in addition to the original style] then they may be fairly new. i would be surprised if that was the case though.
There was a Polyglas GT radial as I remember also, but these appear to be bias ply from the photos. [?]
Would be great for show on 'period' wheels, but would want to examine them carefully before driving too much or too fast!

They came on 1978 Corvette Pace Cars!

Anyone else think these would look pretty good on a black car with black steel wheels?

I remember them. Been awhile. I come from the raised white letter age so I like them on the right old school car. Would look awesome on black.

On the back side of the tire you will find a DOT# the last 4 or 3 #'S will give you the manufactor date. EXAMPLE 0479 TELLS YOU 4 WEEK OF 1979 I MADE A BOOBOO

Maybe I can help...

In 1976;I purchased a set of Goodyear GT Radials(that's how it was stated on the sidewall) with the identical lettering font. These were a fairly new to the market when I got them;I'm presuming that these Polyglas pieces are from 1975-6,before radials became Goodyear's product focus. VERY interesting;I don't recall seeing them before.

ARE THOSE " MAJIC TIRES?"...the water in them seem to defy gravity... LMAO!
