Is the color of the fan supposed to be gloss black or semi-gloss black?

If it matters the car is a 67 GTX.

Don't think so. I just sold a 74 RR horn and it was faded naturally, but it seemed semi gloss as well. Keep in mind these years (horns) were part plastic, not metal like in previous years.
