Fatal Cuda wreck

something doesnt look right with those inner fender/shock towers.

steve

Wow - what part of the car is stuck to the pole?, is it the cowl area? That is one of the nastiest wrecks I have ever seen.

All the article said was that the car was moving at a high rate of speed. As far as the build quality, who knows? The front end was definitely modified as evident by the inner fender wells and lack of shock towers. Doesn't take much, one overlooked bolt could have catastrophic results.

The firewall looks like it has been worked as well. The stance of the car suggests that some major suspension work was done. This certainly makes me think of all the times I've turned wrenches on the car and took it out for a blast down the road... this could happen to anybody...my prayers go out to his family.

Where's that engine now? It might be salvageable? RIP to the driver, went out doing what he loved, glad he took no one else with him.

Looks like the front section of the unibody with an inner fenderwell visible. Also looks like possibly a muffler and pipe hanging off to the left side of it. What a shame.

To the best of my recollection, the car had coil over front suspension.

Certain aftermarket coil-over conversion kits have been known to have strength issues. Some were clearly not designed for street use.

I would say thank God he did not take any bystanders out with his idiotic driving! I can understand getting on it every once in a while but flat flying through a area like that is usually reserved for 16 year old's that are know it all race car drivers! I just don't get it, and as far as that Hemi I would venture to say that it would need a totally rebuild! doing cartwheels off the harmonic balancer I would imagine that crank is bent! plus I bet cash money there are a couple of BIG cracks in the casting especially around the mounting ears and even the bellhousing area! Shame it happened but just goes to show there are plenty of idiots out there!

I believe the thread has been very respectful of the deceased thus far. Why don't we continue to take the high road ?

I agree!!
As one would try to learn from others mistakes in a situation like this,it is not being respectful to ask this and that about what is happening with the Car and Parts as to what is going to happen to them or where are they going!

I say lets keep it on the "HIGH ROAD" and remember someone lost a life here and be respectful to the Family!
