Got some lame comedy flick about a dare devil

1979 Hot Rod was a decent flick
not very good acting
(the Mumms Special 442, was a pig, a high 12 second car at best)
a lot of filming at Fremont Raceway & Castro Valley areas too
the Willys & the 65 were both cool cars

for B-body cars Dirty Mary Crazy Larry come to mind

a bunch of the scenes in DMCL were shot right here in Sonora,
the store, the hill, roads going down & in the valley Oakdale area

other than Bullitt or Payback

Funnycar Summer & American Nitro also come to mind

The plot & acting SUCK ! But you can't beat the b body footage.

In their defense, it was a L O W budget movie.
The story was decent in my opinion EXCEPT for the end. The 2 cars flying off into the sky? How gay was that ??
