Well summer is almost over here in the northern parts and shortly we will be retiring our rides to storage. There seems to be a lot of intelligent, ambitious members here who have worked diligently and restoring their cars. I'd be curious as to which changes/mods gave you the greatest satisfaction, not just because of price, but also for safety, handling, looks and all round performance. I know that I've done many that were well worth while and others were just on a whim and cheap as hell. Rating these changes not only informs other users but also makes suggestions for things they may not have thought of. Please, no ashtrays hanging on the drivers door near the vent window or cigarette lighter socket voltage gauges.

Brakes! Installed all new everything-wheel cylinders, springs, shoes, cables etc. Only thing I did not do was convert to disc, but it was not in the cards this year.

Okay
Hate to say it but:
Pulling the May 1969 Build Date Hemi OUT of the 70 Superbee AND installing the original 1970 "383"!

Here ya go....Here is mine....

For me it was new torsion bars as well as doing the lower control arm rebuilding. I enjoyed cleaning up the arms ( blasting and Painting) and the welding involved.

1. Upgrading intake and carburetor.
2. Ditching the factory kickdown mess and going with a cable system.
3. Adding headers.
4. Installing a stereo that accepts memory sticks to replace AM/FM and CDs.
5. Replacing gas tank and sender unit so you're not tempting the gunk gremlins. :)

1) ditching the low compression 413 for the 451 with aluminum heads

2) ditching the kickdown for a cope reverse manual vb

3) installing my scarebird front manual disc kit (stops great for like $200)

4) ratchet shifter!

5) my soon to be installed fitech EFI

6) my hidden stereo that connects to my phone.

#1..Ditching the 318 and adding the 440!
#2..Rebuilding the front suspension, now it doesn't feel like I'm gonna roll over every time I turn a corner!
#3..Ditching the 2.73 open rear for the 3.73 sure-grip!...kinda goes along with #1

finishing all the welding, but my favourite would have to be building and installing the 426ci into the 64 in place of the tired old 318 poly.

Going from the exhaust on the right to the exhaust on the left.
MUCH BETTER !

1. Strong brakes
2. Subframe Connectors
3. Front and rear sway bars
4. Boxed LCA's and tubular UCA's
5. Performance shock absorbers
6. Stiffer torsion bars & leafs
7. Tighter steering gear box

Now with braking and handling out of the way, it's time for power.

8. Headers and full mandrel bent exhaust
9. Aftermarket cylinder heads
10. Streetable camshaft with more lift & duration.
11. Edelbrock RPM intake for the street
12. Holley or Eddy carb... preferences.
13. Transmission shift kit (auto)
14. Or a better clutch (manual)

That's what id start with.
