I loved the I-95 story Ed, and I can definitely relate. You drove right past where I grew up on your way to the GWB. Those burned out hulks were a common sight in the metropolitan area all through the 80's & 90's.

I got pulled over in the late 80's on Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn by 2 DT's in a taxi cab. I was in my 1971 Challenger R/T on my way home from LaMour's Rock Capitol at 3am. The cop in the passenger seat asks me where I'm from. I say "Jersey". He then asks me, "You don't have red lights in Jersey?". I told him that we did, but they don't strip your car at the red light in Jersey. He just laughed and got back in the taxi.
Those were the 80's in NYC.

LOL.. it reminds me that I should have spent all these years charging guys to restore their cars and made some money. VS Aviation where you can retire with a little bit of money, you just have to start with a lot!
