anyone use or know of the fel-pro 2947 rear main seal. they claim it has a hair thicker lip and is made with better material.

justmoparjoe on YouTube had a leaker a few months ago. He had to do it 3 times. On the last time he used the fastfish 1 pc seal. He didn't know it until he watched the video but he put it in backwards. And it still didn't leak. I was so impressed I bought the seal and retainer for my next build.

the engine is in the car can't use the fastfish right ?

I think that's what justmoparjoe did

mine has the Mancini seal and retainer it started leaking on the break in. I think the fast fish with the stock retainer is what I am going to do. fast fish retainer has no side seals and I don't want to use that one..

update I took out the Mancini retainer that I put in with the engine rebuilt and the black seal that came with the kit at the time. put in the fast fish seal with a stock retainer. The car was still on jack stands but I did start it and let it warm up to temperature rev it up somewhat. so far no leaks.
