Went to a cruise in last night and on the way home i pulled the headlight switch on,the right fender indicator lit up,but the left did not.Ever when the parking light are on same thing, left and right do signal just fine, also at the dash cluster the right side indicator glow green, but the left is dark, thinking headlight switch, anyone run into this before. thanks gents.

Check the ground to the right front turn signal/park lamp housing. Normally grounds through the mounting screws to the valance.

I have also found high resistance between the pressed in socket and the pot metal housing. On a ’72, there is a third unused connection at the front turn signal to front harness connector that is a body ground. I add a wire from this connection to the turn signal housing socket to by-pass the housing mounting screws ground dependency.

ground at rad support clean and tight also jump a wire from battery to housing nothing, could the flasher cause it.

Well, what was it?

this problem happens when one of your turn signal bulbs have a burnt element and you turn on the parking or headlights. It makes the turn signal light stay on the side that has a burnt element on your hood mounted turn signal and your dash turn signal.
