what is the right type of turn signals for a 69 road runner? the fenders I have are a box shaped signal, and all of the ones I see are the bullet type. which ones are correct or are they both correct

I think Bullet type are correct for the RR. My GTX was optioned with them, and they are Bullet type. The smaller square ones were 70, I think.

I found 1 69 rr on ebay w/ the square ones really confused now,and I got 2 different 69 fenders off 2 cars 3 out of 4 had the same turn signals(square ones)

I know I answered this today......Agent "J" has the bullet type

My 69 Coronet has the square box fender signals too.

It depended on the year. If I remember correctly 68s were bullit and 69 were the smaller squarish type. Possible that it was a mid year switch or left over parts 68 used on early 69s.

According to the parts book, the Belvedere based taxis, cop cars, Belvedere model, Satellite and Sports Satellite all got the same small wedge turn signal as the Coronets. The RR and GTX got the bullet type.

Good info Doug.

Funny that they put the bullets on the hipo cars only. Mopar did some strange things.

D...I'm trying to remember a thread on Moparts one night that talked about this topic and I can't remember if it was the RR/GTXs or another model being discussed but IIRC, it had to do with the hood on the RR/GTX. The wedges were too low to the fender and were blocked by the raised hood. The bullets stood a little higher and could be seen better.

That would make logical sense.

Nice to see your car done, you should post some more detailed pictures of it and give the story on the car. I am sure many here would like to here it.

I'll do that when I get a few minutes  and Stuart I divorced you as a son :tongueflap:

not possible daddy you cant divorce me , I can't wait to drive it slow on the driveway .:grin::grin::grin:

You guys are going to have everyone confused here, but I know what the inside joke is! Back to topic, my RR has the bullit type, but they are inboard. We checked the under the fender top and found that one side had a hole on the edge that was filled in, while the other side had no signs of a hole on the edge. So, which is correct for the RR?
