I would like to decode my 62 Polaras and Darts fender tags, anybody know the codes? What I've found on the internet does not seem to work for 62

Go to mymopar.com and go to the top of the page, Look for tools and references, click on it and go to town. They have 62 on there. Hope it helps.

Hello 1badstroker,

Great info, but I can not find "Assembly plant" for my 63 Dodge 330:

(60-65)
1 = Plymouth/Lynch Road (Detroit)
2 = Dodge/Hamtramck (Detroit)
3 = Jefferson (Detroit)
5 = Los Angeles
6 = Newark
7 = St. Louis
9 = Windsor

mine has an "8" for that position, don´t know. It is a car sold new here in México, but as far as I know only "A" bodies were assembled here in México city plant.
Other hint, on the "sequence number" it starts with "11", per the decoding, for '63:

11=Valiant (100)

again, "A" body related.
This car has both plates "made in USA" and also "Automex" (mexican chrysler subsidiary at that time), but no "Export vehicle" plates, so my guess is that the car was assembled in the states and only final operations completed at the mexican plant for government rules compliance on local parts integration.
May be someone has a hint to share on this one, it will be greatly appreciated.

Regards.
