Just rescued a 1968 Dodge Charger! I know good job huh! Got an almost complete rust free car for 3500 dollars! The sun does shine on a dogs butt once in a while. LOL Here is the situation I decoded the fender tag has an unusual letter not just stamped but punched out. Its an "H" it is the same size as the other letters on the tag but by itself in the center. So far I know this car is loaded has A/C and all the premium trim etc. Fender tag says 318ci engine but has big block K member? I know maybe someone changed it? Has the 8 3/4 Posi. So the engine is obviously missing and the 727 is in the trunk its for a bigblock as well. The car is the dark metallic green. Any help with the "H" punched in the fender tag would help thanks! Good find, let's see the rest of the car. Galen Govier's "White Books" is probably the most complete source you will find printed on paper, available on the GTS registry site, but I think all the info is on the internet. A book is nice to have though, you can cary them with you to swap meets and when your going to look at cars.

Cool talked to the original owner last night! Came with a 318cu for sure. his son pulled the 318 in 1988 to put in a 340 and never finished it. So this car has been in a storage unit for 22 years. Well I will have it rolling big block style by the fall thanks to a low mileage Fury I just pulled from an old guys garage for 200 dollars. Pictures to come!

those are the fun cars to build, the ones you can do anything you want to.have fun.
