I´ve made up my mind and sold my turbo kit from my 400bb and going N/A and now i have to try to find a set of headers for my 64 sport fury, and my eyes are right now on Doug´s fenderwell headers for the RB-block. Does any one know if they fit the B-block in the early b-body? They state 426-440 on their web page but still i'm curious if they fit the B-block.

And i would love to se some pics of your fenderwell headers if you have it.

My brother had fenderwell exit headers on his 69 340 dart. They were cool but they took up a lot of space behind the front tire and he had to run a very small size tire as a result. In your case, those Doug's headers are for the higher deck (RB "raised B") engine. Since the 383/400 is a "B" engine which has a lower deck, I would assume they may not fit without cutting more than you might like to. I think they will fit the engine itself as I think the heads are the same, maybe not. I wish I had pictures of the Dart on the computer for you but they would not be the same as a B Body of course. I hope some one else chimes in here to give you a better answer! Good Luck!

Here's a picture of the engine compartment of MAX. We think they're Hookers. The original owner ran the motor and trans in another car. When he sold the car to the second owner, I am the third, they put everything back with the headers. You need to reroute the fuel line. Fred just used a piece of copper tubing wire tied to the torsion bar! Then on the left side be careful of the brake line. On both sides he trimmed the back of the wheel wells and on the left side cut a 6" piece out of the cross member. The motor is coming out this winter and the correct manifolds and pipes are going back in.
